Children are born with healthy feet. What happens to them afterwards is largely down to what we put on them.
Our position
The bones of the foot are largely cartilage well into the teenage years. Arches and muscle develop best when the foot is free to move, grip and feel the ground. A shoe should protect against cold and sharp things — it shouldn't steer the step.
That's why every shoe we sell is built on the same four principles, and why we don't stock anything that breaks them.
Zero drop
Heel and toe at exactly the same height, so the foot lands naturally with every step.
Wide toe box
Toes can splay freely. That's what builds balance and stronger arches.
Flexible sole
If the shoe won't roll up, we don't sell it. The foot should do the work.
No arch support
A healthy child's arch is built by being used — not by being held up.
Materials
We favour recycled materials, breathable textiles, plant-based leather and natural rubber outsoles. Where a model is certified to OEKO-TEX® or bluesign® standards, we say so on the product page.
Sizing
Everything is listed in EU sizes, 19–36. Our size guide walks through how to measure properly and how much growing room to leave.
